The square is just a short drive for you to head in and have dinner at Circus Cinema Restaurant, amazing pizza at Little Square Pizza, or tasty burgers at 5711 located in the square, have coffee at Neighbourhood cafe or meet the locals over bacon and eggs at Kitcheners.

Martinborough boasts itself on incredible vineyards... take yourself to some of our favourites - Moy Hall, Colombo Martinborough, Schubert Wines, Luna Estate and On Giants' Shoulders. Great for tastings and for lunch.

If shopping is your thing, poke around in the funky lil boutique shops sprinkled around the square and grab some of the locally produced delicacies on offer.

Just half an hour's drive from Martinborough is Lake Ferry, a sleepy beach village on the shores of Lake Onoke where it empties into rugged Palliser Bay. Go fishing with views of the South Island, try catching whitebait if you're here in spring - or just enjoy a sunset dinner at the Lake Ferry Hotel. They do fab whitebait fritters and flounder!

The main Square is located just 500m away, where you will find a bus stop which can connect you to the train line if you wish to explore some of what the rest of the Wairarapa has to offer, or head into Wellington.
